Small Landscape Vessel 3
This piece has been made using a mould for the base and then it’s slowly built up using the coiling method. Coiling by hand is a relaxing and meditative process.
Once I’ve achieved the desired height, I gently pinch and pull the rim. I love making these vessels and embracing the beauty in the irregularities. My pieces are not perfectly symmetrical but it’s these little quirks I fall in love during the making process, allowing some control to the clay.
Stoneware clay, high fired.
Measurements approx (H13cm x W11cm)
Care instructions: Please take care when handling this product. The blisters can occasionally burst, this is the effect of the glaze. If this happens, all it needs is a little light sanding by hand to remove any sharp edges.
